Lucy and I were talking the other day about how thoughts affect us. She did a muscle test on me several times. Sometimes thinking, "Good Boy" and sometimes thinking, "Bad Boy". Every time when she thought "Good Boy", I was strong. When she thought "Bad Boy", I was weak. These thoughts were very mild compared to some of the thoughts we tell ourselves, about ourselves and about others. sometimes these thoughts are in our minds, sometimes they are verbal. May I suggest some things to look for in a legal, moral and ethical company:

1. #1 are they headquartered in the USA? If not, forget them.
2. Look at their policies and procedures. If the are longer than 8-10 pages, forget them. Many companies have policies that are very restrictive. Know these before joining.
3. Find out about the company owners. Have they ever built a big NWM team; 100,000 or more?
4. Are the owners ethical and moral people?
5. Do they have an autoship. One can't make money without spending some.
6. Is their autoship between $70-$120 per month?
7. Is their autoship consumable?
8. Is their product, a product you can hold in your hand?
9. Software and information is not a product.
10. Do they have a coach, a mentor and a proven duplicatable system?

The Questions Your Prospects Ask

It is key to make your network marketing business as duplicatable as possible. And the less you have to talk, the more duplicatable it gets. The ability to use the Success In 10 Steps ebook and just point to sections that answer certain questions or to sections that would be valuable to people makes your life a lot simpler.

The format of the ebook has been very successful. It's had over 107,000 downloads in the past 4 years. A lot of people have used Success In 10 Steps to generate leads and build an MLM business. It is set up to make it easy for people to do network marketing. You don't have to be an expert at anything. You hardly even need to be able to answer any questions.

Use "Success In 10 Steps" To Boost Your Confidence

A lot of what determines success or failure is NOT the obvious stuff that you see and are concerned with.

Studies have shown that whether you're talking to someone on the phone, or in person, their impression of you & what you say is based ONLY ABOUT 8% on the words you use!!

The other 92% is your body language and the sound & qualities of your voice. I'm sure it's easy for you to understand that if you sound uncertain, no one is going to follow you. To be successful, you must sound and look like you know exactly what you are doing.

That is one of the reasons that this training is so useful to you. The more time you spend learning about the intricacies of Success In 10 Steps, the more certainty you will have when you talk to a prospect. At times the journey we take as network marketers seems long and tedious. But when we close our eyes to meditate, visualizing that day we will walk across that stage, we feel it and taste the sweetness of being successful. All because we will not give up on our dreams! It's a decision we can get excited about and renew our passion for because we know that we cannot fail as long as we do not give up!

When I made a decision to be ALL IN, it was final.

And to be ALL IN requires that we take actions. Mr. Hill tells us that we are to master the enemy of procrastination. It takes willpower. Mastering procrastination means we learn good habits that get us into action. And the number 1 habit we must develop is making sure we say our self talk!

Like Michael says, it does not we mean we keep getting ready to get ready or to study the system first.

I remember when I first started training with Brian Redding. It was on the job training. I could not wait to get started! He showed me how to get ebook downloads from Facebook. I did not know everything yet, but I took action everyday in getting ebook downloads. Once I got an ebook download, then Brian showed me the next step to take. It was a matter of learning simple steps.  One more thing I did was stay in touch with my mentor. Brian did not have to chase me, we communicated with each other till I knew what I was doing.

On the job training means we start doing and learn as we go. There is no reason here to procrastinate as we can do as we learn. This is why we get with our mentors, so we get trained and know what to do before and after, until we have it clear in our mind. We get into everyday actions to get ebook downloads, make phone calls and do whatever we can to stay close to the fire. This investment is an investment of our time and effort and we will all reap the rewards. We are reaping the rewards now. :)

I made the decision to be all in even with all my challenges and I have kept this promise to myself and because my WHY has a vision, which does not know the word quit. Being connected to a brilliant mastermind group here at Mentoring For Free helps me to visualize every step of my way to success!

The Questions Your Prospects Ask

It is key to make your network marketing business as duplicatable as possible. And the less you have to talk, the more duplicatable it gets. The ability to use the Success In 10 Steps ebook and just point to sections that answer certain questions or to sections that would be valuable to people makes your life a lot simpler.

The format of the ebook has been very successful. It's had over 107,000 downloads in the past 4 years. A lot of people have used Success In 10 Steps to generate leads and build an MLM business. Stupid facts, features, and benefits.

In the 1960s, before we knew how the brain made decisions, sales courses taught people to present the facts to the prospects, then present the unique features, and then finally, the benefits to the prospects.

The theory was that the more we prove our greatness to their conscious mind, somehow, magically, the prospects would make a "Yes" decision.

Now, based upon all the testing and experiments to the human mind, we laugh at our methods of the 1960s.

But did those methods work in the 1960s? Somewhat. There was no competition. Everyone was doing the same stupid thing. And people eventually had to buy something or they would starve.

However, the 1960s are not coming back.

And if you are going to continue using 1960s techniques in 2014, well, chances are that you might want to take up accounting on the side so that you can earn some extra money.

You see, it is not about our wonderful company, wonderful products, and wonderful compensation plan. In fact, the more wonderful our presentation is, the less likely prospects will join!

"Too good to be true" and "What is the catch" and skepticism grow the more wonderful we make our offer. Strange, isn't it?

See if you can feel when your skepticism kicks in as I make my presentation offer better and better. Ready?

"You can lose one pound per week on our program."

"You can lose five pounds per week on our program."

"You can lose 10 pounds easily every week with our tiny tablet."

"You can lose 15 pounds per week just by looking at our tiny tablet."

Get the point?

The better we make our offer, the less likely our prospects will trust us or believe us.

At some point in our career we have to make a decision to stop using 1960s used-car salesmen presentations and make a decision to start learning how our business really works.

More wonderful brochures, DVDs, websites and samples mean that we are just going down the wrong road to the 1960s.

For some reading this, they won't "get it." They are doomed to repeat the same error over and over. It is not their time to start this business. For now, their business is an entertainment activity, a community of like-minded people, and this is okay. Why not enjoy life?

However, if now is your time to stop socializing and consider how to do this business for money, re-read and start thinking, "How much longer are we going to be stuck in the 1960s when the rest of the world has moved on?"

Why MLM products are so expensive

Does a network marketing company really need a big, big, big, big, big home office? It's comical. They say, "Oh, we're debt free."Yeah. They're debt-free off the backs of distributors. That's how they built that big home office. Doesn't help you at all.

They call it "breakage." That's the difference between wholesale product cost and reta1l cost ... mark-up from $39.95 reta1l to $79.95 wholesale. That pays for the building. And maybe a company jet or two.

A few years back, a prepaid phone card company charged $2 or $3 a minute for prepaid phone calls. You bought a phone card for a dollar a minute. But these were collector's cards, said the company: "If you don't scratch the back of the card off, and don't use the time, it makes it more valuable.")

So this plastic card, which cost maybe 25 cents to create, was selling for $2 a minute. And the company convinced the people not to scratch it off, so they never had to pay for the phone time.

Isn't that amazing? It's no wonder network marketing gets a bad name.

Part of being successful is to find a company with an excellent product at a reasonable price. Hint: if they have a glitzy 27-story home office, keep searching.

MLM Prospect, But Employee Mindset

I saw a comment from a successful internet marketer this week that I think is very important to consistently remind yourself of.

Almost everybody we talk to about network marketing is an employee. They come from an employee mindset. Very few are actually business owners.

The employee mindset is: "OK. I really want to be successful on my own. I don't want to have a boss. I want to make more money. What do I do?"

The employee mindset is NOT: "OK. I'm going to work this out for myself and come up with my own business plan."

And the point this guy was making is, the most important word when you are talking to a prospect is "system."

Let me repeat that. Heck, let me SCREAM that.

THE MOST IMPORTANT WORD WHEN YOU ARE TALKING TO A PROSPECT IS:

SYSTEM SYSTEM SYSTEM SYSTEM SYSTEM SYSTEM SYSTEM SYSTEM!

You've got to give them a step-by-step system. They have to see a system that can work for them. You have to show them how it has worked for others, and you have to show them, step-by-step, exactly what they will do with it.

But it's more than just that. Your prospect not only has the opportunity to use a system that is tested and proven to work, but they also have the opportunity to talk to their prospects about that tested, proven system - which every prospect needs and wants. It's really important. That is exactly what this guy is talking about.

You need to hammer prospects about the system. I mean, REALLY hammer them on this. Most prospects think, "Oh, this company has a great product. That's what I need." Or, "Oh, I'm personally sponsored by the heavy hitter. That's what I need." Or, "It's been proven that this compensation plan pays out 80%, and over 90% of the people who use it are successful."

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!

Most prospects need to use the Success In 10 Steps ebook to have success, but some won't. Everybody knows that a new person needs a tested, proven system to start with. If you can find a better, tested proven system, fine. We've used this one for over 9 years, and it constantly produces the targeted leads we want.

The Mistake MLM Leaders Make

Network marketing hotshots often tell their downlines, "You have to change. You have to get out there and sell. If you want to be successful, you have to change and get good at selling."

The truth is, YOU are perfect just like you are. Everybody on your team is perfect just like they are. They don't need to change. They don't need to become a pushy, aggressive salesperson.

Ninety-two per-cent of the world's population is sales resistant. You don't like to be sold. You walk into a store, looking for shoes. You want to look around, pick out what YOU want. Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum!

If that "heavy hitter guru" you're talking to looks at all like this buckaroo, you may want to re-think the opportunity.

At the end the first chapter of Success In 10 Steps, you'll read the story of Michael Dlouhy going to the lady's ranch in Texas. She invited a number of MLM leaders to her ranch to talk about her new MLM company and get feedback from people on her ideas. She wanted their advice.

Oh, sure, THIS will work - NOT!

After 14 failed attempts at MLM, spending thousands of dollars for guru "secrets", Sarah Thompson was pretty discouraged.

MLM and Boy Scouts

I'll be sometime in your life you've read or heard the Boy Scout Oath:

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
